The fall of Constantinople in 1453 by an invading army of the Ottoman Empire marked an important milestone in European history. The active presence of the Turks in Europe has become an important confrontational, integration or disintegration factor in the formation of new identities, nations and European identity in the face of the Ottoman Empire.

On the basis of archival materials the author analyzes composition of W. Model's group on the eve of the battle of Kursk. Also the factor of morale of the troops is considered.

R.V. Dolgilevich. "Small Berlin Crisis" of 1965

On the basis of new sources from the archives of the foreign policy of the Russian Foreign Ministry the author highlights the causes, course and consequences of conducting of plenary session of the Bundestag in West Berlin in April 7, 1965. In mass media of the Western Powers and Germany these events received the name of "small Berlin crisis".

The article examines the policy of Communist International and Communist Party of Great Britain towards the first Labour Government headed by R. Macdonald. The author analyses the attempts of left radicals to undermine the influence of Macdonald’s cabinet among working masses and to conquer the majority of  population on the side of  the Communist Party.

In this article the author tried to provide new proofs that the decisive for the Israeli-American relations turning point came during J. F. Kennedy's presidency, and his successor L.B. Johnson only fixed the happened changes.

L.V. Nikitin. (Chelyabinsk). New York, San Francisco and Charlotte: Contemporary History of Competition for Leadership in the U.S. Banking System (1970s – mid 2010s)

The article is focused on quantitative analysis of competition between the largest banking centres of the USA during the last 40 years. The investigation shows that in spite of increasing territorial stratification (which is typical for neo=liberal economy) and permanent leadership of New York City, the American credit system is remarkable for relatively low monopolization and acute competition between several financial metropolises.
