In the essay based on documents of Russian and foreign archives describes the life and activity of Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara (1900-1986), who at the beginning of World War II saved the potential victims of the Holocaust - Jewish refugees in Lithuania from Poland. In 1984 Israel Museum "Yad Vashem" honored him as Righteous Among the Nations for his actions.
