A.F. Fomin. The Establishment of the League of Nations Mandates System in the Middle East after the First World War. 1920 - 1924.
League of Nations Mandates System was one of the unique international legal innovations of the Versailles-Washington system. However, the formation of the system was delayed for a long time and was finished only in 1923 - 1924. The article examines the circumstances of the formation of this system and analyzes the international context of the process.

S.A. Romanenko. Soviet Russia and Austro-Hungarian Monarchy: from October 1917 to the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk (March 1918)
The article is devoted to the relationship of Soviet Russia and Austro-Hungary in the first six months after the October revolution. It is based on the both Soviet press and newspapers of South Slavs. The two enemies on the battlefield and ideological opponents, the Bolshevik regime and the Habsburgh monarchy had to pursue the same goal of preserving their own power in their own states. National movements of South Slavs obtained a new form of national self-detemination played the great role in domestic policy of Austria-Hungarian empire and in foreign policy of Russian socialist federative state.

The Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires created two different in essence projects of the state identity, meant for the multinational and multi-religious states. What ways carried out the phenomenon of the imperial power to the people? How there was "a political coding" of societies? What meanings and emotions were put in imperial and dynastic presentations of the power? The author on the example of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires of a boundary of 19-20 centuries looks for answers to these questions.

In the essay is characterized the history of writing and the publication of the novel of the great German writer Hans Fallada "Everyone Dies Alone", narrating about an anti-nazi action of spouses Kvangel executed in Berlin in 1943. Reception of this novel in Germany and in the GDR in time of "cold war" and after association of Germany is considered.

In the essay is considered the activity of the French ambassador in Russia duke de Montebello, directed on strengthening of the Franco-Russian relations which was outlined after the end of the Crimean war. On the basis of archival data, in particular reports of the ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, the situation in Russia in connection with Alexander's II reforms is shown and the episode of capture of Shamil is in detail stated.

Based on archival sources, which were first time introduced in the scientific revolution in the article analyzes the process of negotiating and the background of the Soviet-Polish Non-Aggression Pact of 1932. Established by author that the Polish initiative gave rise to negotiation process. Agreement was more a result of changes in world political trends, rather than an expression of good will.
